Pocket Full of Posies Challenge #5

The theme for the Pocket Full of Posies theme for this fortnight is ‘Winged Things’, and our generous sponsors for this challenge are Whimsy Stamps, who are going to give our lucky winner no less than five gorgeous digital images of their choice from their online shop!

Here is my card, made, of course, with a delightful Whimsy Stamps image. She has been coloured with Promarkers, and the Designer Papers that I used are by Basic Grey.  The cute velvety butterfly is by Flora Doodles, sentiment by Hero Arts, and the rest is from my stash.

I do hope that you’ll come and play in our latest challenge; I’m sure that you’ll agree that the prize is well worth it!

Passion for Promarkers – Michele’s Sketch

This week’s Passion for Promarkers challenge is to follow Michele’s lovely sketch with an added element, which is to make your own flowers.  Our sponsors for this challenge are Letraset, who are giving our winner a set of five Promarkers.

I used plain off-white flowers, which I painted with pearlised watercolour paints. This has the effect of stiffening the flower and giving it the look of pearly porcelain. I added a pearly brad and a silver spacer to the flower centre for further decoration. The designer papers are by Basic Grey, and the stamp is by Sugar Nellie. Please scroll down to see my Promarker colouring recipe.

Promarkers used:

Skin: Ivory, Blush, Pastel Pink.Hair: Vanilla, Tan, Caramel.

Clothes: Lime Zest, Pear Green, Pale Pink, Dusky Rose, Cardinal Red, Caramel, Cinnamon.

Butterfly and Mushrooms: Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Cardinal Red, Almond, Tan.

These adorable stamps can be found on the Funky Kits website, where you can also purchase all the Sugar Nellie range of stamps.

I used another Sugar Nellie design on my card, this time from their ‘Home Grown’ line.  I coloured this little chap to match the  Basic Grey designer papers that I used.  The card stock is by DCWV, and the sentiment stamp is by Stampin’ Up. Please scroll down to see my Promarker colouring recipe.

Skin and Hair: Ivory, Blush, Vanilla, Caramel.
Clothes and Shoes: Cool Aqua, Arctic Blue, Buttercup, Tulip Yellow, Lipstick Red, Denim Blue, Powder Blue, Tan, Caramel.

Passion for Promarkers – Cocoa and Rose Pink

The challenge at Passion for Promarkers this week is to use the shades Cocoa and Rose Pink as the main colours on your chosen image.

Our sponsors this week are Yellow Moon/Baker Ross, who are offering a prize of a £10 gift voucher to spend on any of the craft supplies and children’s crafts at Baker Ross.

This is what our lovely DT member Debbi has to say about Baker Ross:

“This is a great place to buy crafty stuff for kids – ideal to keep them occupied during the duller or wetter days. I’ve bought loads from here, they also have a terrific selection of craft blanks e.g. wee gift boxes, pencil boxes bags etc. And I’m going to be really cheeky here and ask you all a favour – if any of you place an order at Yellow Moon, when you checkout there is a page that will ask you for a source code so that the commission on your order goes to a charity or group. As many of you know I’m the secretary/treasurer and co-founder of Extra Special Parents which is a support charity for parents and carers of children with special needs. Our source code is SSH10729 and I would really appreciate it if you could use that so that ESP receives the commission.”

Here is my card, and as usual the Promarker recipe is below the card.  I have used one of the fab Leanne Ellis designed stamps by Sugar Nellie, which are available from Funky Kits.  The papers are by Papermania and Basic Grey, and I’ve embossed a piece of Brown Bazzill Bling card with one of the latest Cuttlebug folders called ‘Victoria’. The sentiment, oval and scalloped oval punches are by Stampin’ Up.

Elzybells Summer Release Sneak Peeks

 Elzybells sneakpeek label

Welcome to the latest Elzybells Sneak Peeks! I’ve used the delicious ‘Strawberry Picking’ girl on my card today; isn’t she gorgeous? As usual with Elzybells stamps, this image lends itself so well to paper piecing, and I’ve used the same Basic Grey paper as the background to piece the girl’s dress.  The rest of the image is coloured with Promarkers. The ‘Happiness’ sentiment stamp is also one of Elzybells new stamps, as is the ‘Petit Strawberry’. All the papers used are from the Basic Grey Euphoria collection, and the textured card is by American Crafts. The scalloped border is die-cut with a Martha Stewart punch.

The new stamps will be on sale from Wednesday 23rd from the Elzybells on-line shop, but come back tomorrow to see my next sneak peek!

PFP – Cornflower and Cocoa

Can you believe that it’s time for the 7th challenge at Passion for Promarkers already?! This week we are using the colours Cornflower and Cocoa, along with a gorgeous sketch by Debbi.  I’m using a new stamp, which I bought from Little Claire at the Newbury stamp show on Saturday – isn’t she sweet?  The papers are by Crafts-Too, K & Co and Basic Grey, and all the cardstock used is by Bazzill. I cut the labels, oval and oval scallops with my Nestabilities dies, and the sentiment is by Whiff of Joy. Scroll down for the colouring recipe.

Our sponsors this week are Stampezee, who are giving you the chance to win two Magnolia stamps, Hawaiian Tilda and Hawaiian Palm Tree – just perfect to use for those summer cards!

Passion for Promarkers – Apple and Pastel Pink

Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who took the time to enter our first challenge last week.  We were overwhelmed by the fantastic response, and we enjoyed looking at all your cards.

Welcome to the second challenge at Passion for Promarkers, which is to use the colours Apple Green and Pastel Pink on your card.  The lovely Hanglar & Stanglar image was one that was given to me, and I coloured her in the required colours with my Promarkers.  I edged the oval, which I cut out with my Nesties, with a Versamark ink pad in Sage, and stamped small leaves (Art Impressions) all around with Tea Green and Olive inks.  I used papers from the Porcelain range by Basic Grey, and the pale green cardstock is by Bazzill. The flowers are by Prima, the sentiment stamp is by Stampin’ Up, and brads and ribbon are from my stash.

This week there is a fabulous prize of a Whiff of Joy stamp – Shy Willow – kindly donated by Denise, so why not join us for another fun challenge?!  We look forward to seeing your cards!
