This is my card for the Elzybells challenge for this fortnight, and the theme this time is ‘Recycle’.  I’ve used the sweet Teddy Flowers stamp, and coloured him in sepia shades with my Promarkers.  All the cardstock used is either made with recycled paper or is scraps left over from other projects.  The rather hairy brown fibre paper is recycled, and left over from my cousin’s wedding invitation cards, and the ribbon is a scrap I found in my ribbon box.  The sentiment stamp is also by Elzybells.  I have to admit that the flowers and brads are new, but I couldn’t find any to recycle!  I can’t wait to see what the other DT girls have made for this challenge; I hope you’ll pop along to their blogs (links in my sidebar) to have a peek!

Elzybells Challenge Recycled

A Walk in the Woods

This week’s theme at Tilda and Friends is to use more than one character on your ATC.  I decided to use Tilda and Edwin from the Fall 2008 stamp kit, as it’s been a while since I inked up these little cuties.  They are, of course, coloured with Promarkers.  I used an HOTP background paper in autumn colours, and added punched leaves, in brown and copper, to complete the little scene.  Why not pop over to the challenge blog and see what the other DT girls have to show you?

Passion for ProMarkers – Anything Goes!

Here I am again with my very  first card for our very exciting new challenge blog Passion for ProMarkers.  The theme for this week is ‘Anything Goes’ so I’ve made a card using some of my favourite colours.  I’m sure most of you will recognise the lovely WOJ stamp, and I’ve coloured her with Promarkers (of course!) in the following colours:

Face:  Ivory, Blush, Pastel Pink.

Hair:  Sandstone, using the colour more heavily for the darker areas.

Clothes:  Meadow Green, Apple, Pearl Blue, China Blue.

Flowers:  Ivory, Satin, Meadow Green, Marsh Green.

Wings:  Ivory, Vanilla.

The Designer Paper is by K & Co, and the sentiment is by WOJ.  I used cardstock by Bazzill, and the ribbons and flowers are from my stash.

Have you checked out the fabby prizes on offer this week? I hope these will tempt you into entering out very first challenge at Passion for ProMarkers.  Thank you for popping in to look at my card, and don’t forget to visit the other members of the Design Team (all the links are in my sidebar) to have a peep at their beautiful creations too.

Promarkers Week 1 35%

It’s Nearly Time…

Just one more sleep until Passion for ProMarkers opens its doors for the first challenge!  I hope that you’ll all be popping over to the blog  to see what we’ve been up  to.  We have some very generous sponsors for our first challenge, with some AMAZING prizes, which I’m sure will tempt you to enter. The challenge is to use any colour of Promarker on your card, but you must use at least one – how simple is that?!  Also, as the prizes are so fabulous this week, we would like you to enter a card made for this challenge only.  When you see the list of prizes, you’ll see why we’ve had to set a few restrictions this time.  We are expecting a lot of entries, and we’d like you to show off your talents and make a unique card.

Our sponsors and prizes for this week are:

Angela from Angel Crafts, who is offering 3 beautiful sets of ribbons.

Joanna Sheen, who is donating a whole set of Promarkers, yes, that’s 92 colours!

Tracy from Dies to Die For who is offering 2 wonderful stamps.

Cute Daisy May Digi stamps have 5 steets of digi stamps for you

I hope that will tempt you all to join in the fun tomorrow; don’t forget you’ll only need to use at least one Promarker pen, and there are no restrictions as to stamps or designs used.

I would love it if you would pop back here to have a peek at my first card for this challenge – see you then!

Last Sneak For This Time

 Elzybells sneakpeek label

Sadly, this is my last Elzybells sneak peek for this time. I have used the second Angel Teddy on my card. She’s a very special little bear, isn’t she? Again, I’ve coloured her with Promarkers, with some JoSonja’s Opal Dust here and there to give her some sparkle. The very pretty backing paper is by Prima, and the aqua cardstock that I used is Bazzill Bling. I added some stamped scrolls by Autumn Leaves, in pink ink, to tie the background and the image together, and used a pink taffeta ribbon to embellish the card further. The word is die-cut using the Cuttlebug with the ‘Olivia’ alphabet dies, and I’ve added a touch of sparkle to that too.

Thank you for looking at my peeks this week. I hope you have enjoyed the cards as much as I’ve enjoyed making them to show you.  Don’t forget that today is release day at the Elzybell’s online shop, and visit the other DT girls for inspiring projects using the new stamps.

Passion For ProMarkers Design Team News

Passion for ProMarkers Challenge Blog

I was so thrilled to be asked to join the design team on the new challenge blog at Passion For ProMarkers. Thank you Gina and Denise for selecting me!

I’d like to say hello to the other members of the Design Team. I’m looking forward to getting to know you all, and to working with you.  Below are the links to the other DT members’ blogs.  You’ll also find these in my sidebar.

The first challenge will take place on the 26th May, and they will run every Tuesday thereafter.  I know that Gina and Denise have some fab things planned, so why not come and join us in all the fun?!

Here’s One for the Girls!

Elzybells sneakpeek label

My Elzybells sneak peek for today has a little more feminine charm!  It was great to be able to make some cards for men; like many of you, I always struggle to do that, but it was lovely to be able to make something a little more girlie this time.

I used one of Elzybells’ Teddy Angel stamps; isn’t she cute?  I coloured her with Promarkers, and added a touch of glitter glue to her wings and wand, but this is hardly noticeable on the photo.  I cut out the image with a Nestabilities Label Four die, and matted it on the same Bazzill Bling cardstock that I used for the rest of the card.  The flowers are by Prima, and I glittered the brads at the centre to add a little more fairy bling to the card. The designer papers used are from the Basic Grey ‘Gypsy’ range, and the sentiments on the outside and inside are also from the Elzybells new release.

See you all tomorrow for my last sneak peek.  It’s also release day, so you will be able to flex the plastic a little more at the on-line shop!

Make Your Own Background

This week’s challenge at Tilda and Friends is to make your own background for your ATC. For me, this meant a chance to mess about with inks and stamps!  I made a rather ‘grungy’ background by ‘smooshing’ some chalk inkpads onto some yellow lined paper.  I used an Autumn Leaves scroll stamp on the corners, using a pink, then black, inkpad. Then I used a floral stamp, which was a freebie from a scrapping magazine, to stamp all over my ATC very gently, so that it would fade into the background.  The studious Tilda was coloured with Promarkers, and added to the ATC with some foam squares to give some dimension.  The fibre embellishment and card button are from my stash.  Do check out the Tilda and Friends blog to see what the rest of the DT have made with this challenge, and then why not have a go yourself?!

Gone Fishin’

Elzybells sneakpeek label

Here is my second sneak peek for the next Elzybells release.  How often have you searched for a stamp suitable for one of the men in your life and struggled to find something cute, but still manly enough for them to appreciate?  I think Elizabeth has outdone herself with her new masculine designs in the latest collection of stamps.  There seems to be something to suit every man.

Today, I’m using ‘Fishing Ted’ on my card – isn’t he a cutie – whom I’ve coloured with Promarkers.  The ‘Things Learnt about Fishing’ text is also one of the new stamps from Elzybells, and is perfect to use with Fishing Ted.  Again, I’ve used some pretty macho paper by HOTP.  I’m not sure who makes the mock-croc paper, but I think it adds a touch more masculinity to the card.  The backing cardstock is by Stampin’ Up. Elizabeth and the rest of the Design Team have some superb cards to show you this week, so don’t forget to check out their blogs.

New Sneak Peeks from Elzybells

Elzybells sneakpeek label

Welcome to the latest Elzybells Sneak Peeks!  Elizabeth has some fabulous new stamps, which will be on sale from Thursday 21st May, but before then we have some little teasers for you!

Here is the first of my peeks.  Let me introduce you to ‘Snoozing Ted’ – isn’t he the perfect little character for a Father’s Day card?  I coloured him with my Promarkers, and found the perfect masculine background paper for my card from HOTP. The lovely squishy armchair is calling out to be paper-pieced, isn’t it?!  All the cardstock that I used is by Stampin’ Up.  The green button and dark grey grosgrain ribbon is – you’ve guessed – from my stash, and the text was printed on the computer.  Don’t forget to visit the other Design Team girls to see what they have to tempt you with this week!  All the address links are on my sidebar.
