Passion for Promarkers – In My Garden

Our sponsor for this week’s Passion for Promarkers challenge is Joanna Sheen, who is giving our winner a voucher for £10 to spend in her online shop.

It was my turn to choose the challenge theme for this week, and to write a corresponding tutorial for the colouring. I chose as my theme ‘In My Garden’, using an image from this week’s digi sponsor, DigiStamp Boutique

I will keep this post brief, and just let you read my tute, which explains how I coloured the image, and which Promarker colours I used.  You’ll find the tutorial by scrolling down to my previous post.

In case you were wondering, the lovely designer papers that I used are from the Blueberry Hill collection by Papermania.

Again, I’d like to thank Sally-Ann from the DigiStamp Boutique for letting me use the gorgeous ‘Lizzie with Flowers’ image for my tutorial.

I hope that you all like my card; thanks for taking a peek !  Mxx

Happy New Year!

Welcome to the first Passion for Promarkers challenge of 2010!  This week we are following a sketch by Michele, and using any colour and the theme of ‘Love’ or ‘Valentine’s’.

Our sponsors for this week are Letraset, who have given us a set of five Promarkers for our lucky winner.

Here is Michele’s lovely sketch:

And here is the card that I made with the sketch, not really a Valentine’s card, but a ‘Love’ card for a special friend:

I must apologise for the picture, which isn’t the greatest, but the light was very bad here, and I had to scan my card this time.  The stamp that I used is by Sugar Nellie, and all the papers are by Papermania. The Promarker colours used are:

Skin: Ivory, Blush.

Clothes and hair: Umber, Black, Cool Aqua, Grey Green.

Everything else: Carmine, Ruby, Forest Green, Lime, Black.

Don’t forget to check out the Passion for Promarker challenge blog to see if you’re one of the lucky winners in our Mega Christmas Challenge.

Passion for Promarkers – Ida’s Sketch

This week, Ida has designed a fabulous sketch for you to follow for the Passion for Promarkers challenge.

Our sponsors this week are The Secret Crafter, and they are offering our lucky winner a set of six Promarkers to add to their stash!

I’ve used one of the adorable Sugar Nellie ‘Magna’ Christmas designs on my card on this occasion. The ‘Mistletoe’ stamp is by Papermania, and the papers are by Imaginisce. The sparkly snowflake acetate embellishments are from my stash. You’ll find the colouring recipe under my card as usual.

My card features Lilly, one of the gorgeous girl characters from The DigiStamp Boutique.  I coloured her in this week’s colours, Sandstone and Pearl Blue, chosen by one of our lovely guest designers, Caroline. My colouring recipe can be found beneath the card as usual.  The papers are by Papermania and Stampin’ Up, cardstock is Bazzzill Bling, and the sentiment is computer-generated.

Passion for Promarkers – Cocoa and Rose Pink

The challenge at Passion for Promarkers this week is to use the shades Cocoa and Rose Pink as the main colours on your chosen image.

Our sponsors this week are Yellow Moon/Baker Ross, who are offering a prize of a £10 gift voucher to spend on any of the craft supplies and children’s crafts at Baker Ross.

This is what our lovely DT member Debbi has to say about Baker Ross:

“This is a great place to buy crafty stuff for kids – ideal to keep them occupied during the duller or wetter days. I’ve bought loads from here, they also have a terrific selection of craft blanks e.g. wee gift boxes, pencil boxes bags etc. And I’m going to be really cheeky here and ask you all a favour – if any of you place an order at Yellow Moon, when you checkout there is a page that will ask you for a source code so that the commission on your order goes to a charity or group. As many of you know I’m the secretary/treasurer and co-founder of Extra Special Parents which is a support charity for parents and carers of children with special needs. Our source code is SSH10729 and I would really appreciate it if you could use that so that ESP receives the commission.”

Here is my card, and as usual the Promarker recipe is below the card.  I have used one of the fab Leanne Ellis designed stamps by Sugar Nellie, which are available from Funky Kits.  The papers are by Papermania and Basic Grey, and I’ve embossed a piece of Brown Bazzill Bling card with one of the latest Cuttlebug folders called ‘Victoria’. The sentiment, oval and scalloped oval punches are by Stampin’ Up.

Passion for Promarkers – Cool Aqua and Pastel Pink

This week’s Passion for Promarkers challenge is to use the colours Cool Aqua and Pastel Pink to colour the image on your card.  As it was my turn to choose the colours and the additional twist, I decided on a sketch, and designed one that I hope you will all enjoy playing with.  I used one of the precious Whiff of Joy angels for my image, and the sentiment on the card is also by WOJ.  All the papers are by Papermania, and the card is Bazzill Bling. Scroll down for the Promarker colouring recipe.

Our sponsors this week are Daisy May Designs, and they are offering five sheets of downloads to the lucky winner.

Happy St George’s Day!

I’m sorry for not posting my ATC yesterday, but I had a bit of a manic one, and was without the internet for part of the day, but here it is now!

The theme at Tilda and Friends this week is ‘Red and White’, in honour of St. George, the patron saint of England.  I used one of the Gorjuss Girls from Sugar Nellie, coloured appropriately, and a heart button, which I think is an H&S image. The background Bazzill cardstock was embossed with the Swiss Dots folder on the Cuttlebug.  The sentiment stamp is by Elzybells, and the little red flower gems are by Papermania.

If you are feeling a little patriotic today, come and join our challenge, and make a red and white ATC.  There is some great inspiration on the Tilda and Friends blog.

All Hearts

The new challenge theme at Tilda and Friends is ‘Hearts’, and what could be more appropriate this week?   I made my ATC with a sweet Hanglar & Stanglar image that was kindly sent to me.  I decided to go all out for pink, and coloured the image with Promarkers, with some fine glitter to accent the heart in the centre, and the wings.  The backing paper is by Papermania,  the sentiment was cut out from a magazine, and the brads are from my stash.

Happy Valentine’s Day for Saturday everyone!  I hope that you’ll have time to come and see the other lovely ATCs that the Design Team have created, and  join in the challenge with your hearty creations.

Golden Days…

We’ve been lucky enough to have enjoyed a few beautiful golden days of autumn here in Oxfordshire. This really is my favourite time of the year; I love the crisp mornings and the gorgeous shades of the season. The challenge at Tilda and Friends is to incorporate beautiful golden tones into your ATC. I used one of the new Tilda stamps from Magnolia’s Autumn Collection for my ATC. She is coloured with Promarkers, with crystal glitter on her wings. I made the background by colouring a piece of cardstock with Colorbox Chalk Inks in shades of Yellow Ochre, Bisque, and Amber Clay. Then I stamped an Autumn Leaves scroll stamp randomly, in Brown Roan, on the inked card. I cut out Tilda, and fixed her onto the card with 1mm foam squares. The leaf stamps are from the Magnolia Autumn Club kit, and were also coloured with Promarkers, cut out, and then placed at Tilda’s feet. I added a little glitter glue on them to give an impression of frost. The sentiment was printed on the computer, and I added a golden Papermania flower gem on it for emphasis.

Come and join our challenge; we’d love to see your ATCs!

Thanks for looking and for your comments, which are always appreciated.
