Pocket Full of Posies – Challenge #4

Ayelet is hosting the challenge at Pocket Full of Posies this week, and the theme is ‘All that Glitters’, so don’t forget to add plenty of bling to your card, as well as the compulsory flowers. Our lovely sponsors for this fortnight are The Pixie Cottage.

Here is my card for this challenge. Continuing my love affair with the Lili of the Valley stamps, I’m using one of their cutie-pie little ladies as my image. I’ve used Promarkers to colour her as usual, and added some touches of glitter here and there on the little scene. I believe that the gorgeous glittery paper is by MME, but it was just a loose sheet in my stash, so don’t quote me on that! The sentiment is by Whiff of Joy, and all the cardstock is by Bazzill. The flowers are rosebuds (very similar to the Prima ones) from my local craft shop, to which I’ve also added a dusting of fine crystal glitter.

Thank you for taking a look at my card!

Pocket Full of Posies – Challenge #3

Welcome to the third Pocket Full of Posies challenge! This week we are being sponsored by Di’s Digi Downloads. Di has some fab downloads, so do go and have a nosey at her site. It was my turn to choose the theme for the challenge this time, and I chose the colour combination of Aqua and Peach.

Here is my card. For the image, I decided on one of the pretty, older, stamps from Sugar Nellie. This one hadn’t been inked a lot, so I thought that it was time to give her another airing. She is coloured with Promarkers as usual, and the floral paper is by My Mind’s Eye. I’m afraid that I can’t remember the origin of the other paper. The cardstock is by Bazzill. The large and tiny peach flowers are handmade, using Tim Holtz’s ‘Grunge Flowers’ die, and the aqua ones are from Prima’s e-line collection.  They have all been spritzed with glimmer mist, and lightly touched with stickles just around the petal edges.

Thanks for taking a peek at my card!  I do hope you will be tempted to join us for the new challenge.

Passion for Promarkers – It’s Springtime!

Hello, and welcome to the latest challenge at Passion for Promarkers.  The theme this week is ‘Springtime’, and the extra element is that you must add an animal to your image. Our sponsors for this time are Angel Crafts, who are giving our winner a prize of £10 to spend in their online shop.

I love the spring, and seeing all the greens in nature returning, and my one of my favourite springtime colour combinations is green with shades of  purple.  I used a lovely stamp by Lili of the Valley for my image.  The papers are by K & Co, the cardstock is by Bazzill, and the flowers are by Prima. Please scroll down for my colouring recipe.

It’s another colour theme at Passion for Promarkers this week, and the colours you must use are Cool Aqua, Sky and Aegean, a lovely selection of blues, I think you’ll agree.  Our sponsors this week are The Secret Crafter, who are giving away a prize of six Promarkers to one lucky winner!

I’ve been eagerly looking for a chance to used this gorgeous digital stamp, by Mo’s Digital Pencil, for a while now.  The little Geisha looks lovely in the blues, with a touch of pink, doesn’t she?!  The papers are by K & Co and My Mind’s Eye, the sentiment stamp is by Whiff of Joy, and the flower is by Prima.  Scroll down to see which Promarkers I used to colour my little Geisha.

Tilda and Friends – Open Theme Week

This week’s challenge theme is an open one, so you can use anything cute, any colours, and your own theme – isn’t it great not to have restrictions?!  I used one of Elisabeth Bell’s delightful images, and coloured her with Promarkers.  The DP is by K & Co, the  flower by Prima, and the braid from my stash.  The words are computer-generated.  Join us this week for our  open theme at Tilda and Friends!

Last Sneak For This Time

 Elzybells sneakpeek label

Sadly, this is my last Elzybells sneak peek for this time. I have used the second Angel Teddy on my card. She’s a very special little bear, isn’t she? Again, I’ve coloured her with Promarkers, with some JoSonja’s Opal Dust here and there to give her some sparkle. The very pretty backing paper is by Prima, and the aqua cardstock that I used is Bazzill Bling. I added some stamped scrolls by Autumn Leaves, in pink ink, to tie the background and the image together, and used a pink taffeta ribbon to embellish the card further. The word is die-cut using the Cuttlebug with the ‘Olivia’ alphabet dies, and I’ve added a touch of sparkle to that too.

Thank you for looking at my peeks this week. I hope you have enjoyed the cards as much as I’ve enjoyed making them to show you.  Don’t forget that today is release day at the Elzybell’s online shop, and visit the other DT girls for inspiring projects using the new stamps.

May Flowers

‘April Showers Bring May Flowers’, and as we are now in the merry month of May, the theme at Tilda and Friends this week is ‘May Flowers’.  My ATC features the lovely Tilda holding a bouquet of flowers, which I believe to be Ranunculus, as it’s far too early for roses in the UK!  Tilda was coloured with Promarkers as usual. The gorgeous backing paper is by Prima, and I’ve edged it with a pink ink pad to soften it a little.  The pink grosgrain is from my stash, as is the brad. The words are from a stamp, but I’m unable to tell you which company makes it, as it was an image sent to me. Do come and join our ATC challenge this week; we would love to see what flowery delights you come up with!

Tilda and Friends – Recipe

Do you love trying out new recipes? Then why not try this one from Tilda and Friends?  Our challenge this week is to use one ribbon, two flowers and three buttons on your ATC.  Here is my ATC, using one of the Gorjuss Girls stamps from Sugar Nellie.  I coloured her with Promarkers, and then cut her out before sticking the image to the base card, which had been covered with HOTP paper.  I added a dusky pink taffeta ribbon, two Prima flowers and three tiny buttons in toning colours.  The sentiment was made on the PC.  I do hope you’ll come and join us in trying out the recipe this week.

Colour Create Challenge

Colour Create is a new challenge blog to me, and as I love trying out different colour combination on my cards I thought I would make one on this week’s theme – Chocolate, Coffee and Cream – yum!  There is also an extra challenge, which is to add some distressing to the card.

Here is my card, using one of the very gorgeous ‘Gorjuss Girls’, from Sugar Nellie, for my image.  The swirls in the background were stamped with a Hero Arts clear stamp. The oval sentiment is from a new stamp set in the current mini catalogue from Stampin’ Up, as is the oval scalloped punch that I used to punch it out.  The ‘distressed’ brown cardstock is by DCWV; this has a white core that can be rubbed with sandpaper to give a worn look.  The corner accent is a Cuttlebug die-cut, and the flowers are by Prima.  The ribbon, DP and brads are all from my stash.

Mmm…Chocolate!

Chocolate…one of our most favourite things, I’m sure you’ll agree!  In this week’s Tilda and Friends challenge you may indulge to excess, as it’s all the non-fattening variety! As you can see, my little Tilda is enjoying her yummy chocolate cupcake.  I’ve coloured her with Promarkers as usual, and added some crystal glitter on her wings for a touch of sparkle, though this doesn’t show up well in the picture.  I’ve also added a touch of glitter frosting on the brad at the centre of the Prima flower. The background paper is by K & Co, and the chocolate brown cardstock is Chocolate Chip by Stampin’ Up.  The text was made on the computer.  Do come and join our choccie-fest this week!  We would love to see what delicious creations you create.
