Passion for Promarkers – Gina’s Sketch

This week Gina has designed a lovely sketch for us, and you can use Promarkers of any colour on your card.  On this occasion the Promarker Challenge is sponsored by The Secret Crafter, who are giving our lucky winner a set of six Promarkers to add to their collection!

Here is my card, with the colouring recipe underneath as usual.  I’ve used a sweet Sarah Kay image, and the sentiment stamp is by Whiff of Joy.  The DP is by Fancy Pants, and all the cardstock is by Bazzill. Thank you for taking a peep, and for your lovely comments, which are always much appreciated.

Passion for Promarkers – Apricot and Cool Aqua

It’s the turn of one of our lovely new Guest Designers, Sam, to choose the colours for this week’s challenge at Passion for Promarkers, and she has chosen ‘Apricot and Cool Aqua’.  The other compulsory requirement is that you must make your own flowers to decorate your card.

Our sponsors this week are Craft Obsessions, who are giving a fab Martha Stewart ‘Cosmos’ punch to our lucky winner. PfP Cosmos Punch

I have used a gorgeous digital download  from Charmed Cards and Craft for my image, and I have coloured her with Promarkers in the required colours.  The colouring recipe can be found beneath the card.  The sentiment is also from the same download package. The papers that I used are by Fancy Pants, and the cardstock is ‘Cameo Coral’ by Stampin’ Up. My flowers were punched from Retro Flower punches by EK Success, in two sizes, and a paper rose was added to the centre of each flower. I added crystal glitter to the fairy’s wings and to the petals of the flowers for a touch of sparkle.

Valentine’s Sneak Peek

Welcome to my first sneak peek of Elzybells’ new Valentine’s stamps release.  Isn’t this little bear, hugging his pillow, the cutest?!  I coloured him with Promarkers, of course.  Elzybells stamps are always a delight to colour in, whether you use pencils, or are a marker fan, like me.  The sentiment and ‘OXOX’ stamps are also part of the new release. I used backing papers by Fancy Pants, and hearts, punched from scraps of red metallic card, as accents.  The brads are from my stash.  You will find more sneak peeks of the Valentine’s stamps on the blogs of the other Design Team members; the links to those are on my side bar.

Elzybells Challenge – Red, Green and Gold

I love traditional Christmas colours, and the latest challenge at Elzybells is to use ‘Red, Green and Gold’ on your card. I had the perfect DP to use for this card: it’s by Fancy Pants, and has a red background with poinsettias, in red, green and gold, scattered around the edges. The image I decided on is called Deck the Halls.  I coloured this with Promarkers, and paper-pieced the girl’s dress in a scrap of the Fancy Pants paper. I tried to keep to the colours of the challenge as far as possible, with the exception of skin tones.  I matted and layered the coloured image on to pearly gold, and then red, card.  I added a strip of Cuttlebug-embossed red cardstock, matted onto the  pearly gold, to the left of the centre of the card.  I attached the coloured and matted image fairly centrally onto the background.  Lastly I added a paper poinsettia, with punched-out leaves, to the bottom right side of the image, where it blends in with the flowers in the background.
