Second Elzybells Peek

Elzybells sneakpeek label

Here is today’s peek from the new Elzybells release. I have two cards to show you this time, both from the Mini Messages Summertime clear set.  I love Elizabeth’s clear sets; not only do they have cute mini images, but also lovely little sentiments.  This new set is perfect for summer cards.

I thought that this barbeque image was just right for invitations to summer parties.  I used Daisy Bucket paper for the background, and some Prima flowers to embellish it a little, but as it’s a small image I didn’t want to overpower it, so I’ve kept the card simple.  I’ve coloured the images on both cards with Promarkers as usual.

I used the miniature slice of water melon (mmm!) on my second card. Again, I’ve kept it fairly simple, as I didn’t want to overwhelm the image, and used some DCWV paper, and Bazzill Bling card to show off the stamp.  The only other embellishments are some scalloped paper ribbon, and tiny pink pearls.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed today’s sneak peeks. Do call in again tomorrow to see some more cards! Don’t forget that tomorrow is release day at the online store.

Passion for Promarkers – Royal Blue & Berry Red

This week’s sponsor for the Passion for Promarker challenge is Whimsy Stamps, and they are kindly donating one of their lovely stamps for the winning entry.  The challenge for this week is to use the Promarker colours Royal Blue and Berry Red to colour your stamped image.   I’ve used one of the Gorjuss Girl stamps on my card, and coloured her in the appropriate shades of Promarker.  The DP is by Daisy Bucket, the border is punched with a Martha Stewart punch, and all else is from my stash.

The Promarkers used to colour the image are:

Skin:  Ivory, Blush, Pastel Pink.

Hair:  Vanilla, Raw Sienna, Sandstone.

Dress and tights:  Royal Blue and Berry Red.

Boots:  A touch of Pastel Blue around the edges and Berry Red for the heart trim.

Thank you for taking a peep at my card!

The third challenge at Passion for Promarkers is to use the colours chosen by Denise, Cinnamon and Pumpkin, to colour the image on your card. The prize for this week is a £10 voucher donated by Hotshot Craft.

I have used another of the delightful Gorjuss Girls on my card, and she is available from Funky Kits.  The papers used are by Daisy Bucket, and the cardstock (Close to Cocoa) is by Stampin’ Up, and Bazill Bling.  The flowers, ribbon and brads are from my stash.

Here is the promarker recipe for my colouring:

Skin:  Ivory, Blush and Pastel Pink.

Hair:  Cinnamon, Cocoa, and Umber.

Coat, hat and boots:  Cinnamon and Pumpkin, shaded with Cocoa, and Apricot.

Dress: Lime with Pumpkin trim.

Fox:  Pumpkin, Apricot and Ivory, with Satin for the tip of his tail.

The other Design Team girls have made some some fabulous samples, as always, so why not pop along to the challenge blog and enjoy the eye candy?!  We may even tempt you to join us in the challenge for a chance to win the wonderful prize this week!

Another Sneaky Peeky!

Here is my third sneak peek at the new Elzybells Valentine’s stamps.  This little bear has to be one of my favourites, but then I have to admit that I love them all! I coloured him with Promarkers, and cut him out using my circle Nestabilities.  Before matting it onto a scalloped frame, also die-cut with Nestabilities, I edged the circle with the Colorbox ‘Robin’s Egg’ ink pad.  The lovely DP is by Daisy Bucket, and the ‘Grenadine’ red card is Bazzill Basic.  The sentiment that I used is also by Elzybells, and the red metallic brads are from my stash.

I thought this particular sentiment was too special not to to be on a card of its own, so I made a very quick one with scraps left over from making my other cards.  The base of the card is made with Bazzill Swiss Dots in Sunset Rose; the folksy heart brad, red velvet ribbon, and the silver buckle are from my stash.

Have you been enjoying the sneak peeks on the DT blogs?  There will be more gorgeous cards to delight and inspire you on the blogs tomorrow, and you will be able to purchase these adorable stamps from Elzybells’ on-line shop to play with at last!

Make a Wish!

I have made another ‘just because’ card, this time with an Elzybells NA stamped image, which my friend Tricia sent me.  I’d like to send good wishes to everyone who reads my blog, and they come with lots of hugs and a sprinkling of fairy dust – thank you very much for your support and kind comments which are so much appreciated, and may all your wishes come true!

Lilac Time!

My lovely friend Carole generously lent me some of her Magnolia stamps to play with a while ago, and this is a card I made with the gorgeous Lilac Tilda images.  Thanks ever so, Carole, and I’m pleased that you like the card!

I used papers from Daisy Bucket for the background, and Tilda, as usual, was coloured with Prisma pencils using paper stumps and Sansodor to blend.  I highlighted Tilda’s lilacs and the butterfly with a touch of Stickles glitter glue, although this doesn’t show up very well in the photo. The sentiment stamp is by Cuddly Buddly.  This was cut out using the scalloped circle Nestabilities with my Cuttlebug, and then layered on some lilac cardstock, also die-cut with the Nestabilities.  The flowers and brad are from my stash.
