Emerald and Marine are the colours to use for this week’s challenge at Passion for Promarkers, and there is an added element in that you must make anything but a card! Our sponsors this week are Yellow Moon, who are awarding our winner a gift voucher for £10 to spend in their online shop.
I decided to make a door hanger for my project. The base is made from pre-cut chipboard, which I bought on Ebay. I painted the sides with a dark emerald acrylic paint, and covered the front and back with papers by K & Co. My image, which is a stamp designed by the very talented Elisabeth Bell, was mounted onto a scalloped oval in Bazzill ‘Swiss Dot’ cardstock and fixed to the covered door hanger. I then added the flowers, the swirls, which were also punched out from the same Bazzill card, and the grosgrain ribbon bow. I didn’t have brads in the right shade, so I coloured the gems in the centre of the flowers with the Marine Promarker so that they would match the image and papers. The name was printed on the computer, and mounted onto a scalloped oval punched from a Stampin’ Up punch. Please scroll down to see my Promarker colouring recipe for the image.
