The sixth challenge on the Elzybells blog is ‘Paper Piecing’. This technique is explained in detail by Elisabeth on the blog. For my card I used the Cheery & Bright stamp. I stamped the image onto smooth white card, and coloured it with Promarkers. Then I stamped the image again onto my selected DP, cut out the dress, and attached this to the coloured image. I cut the image into a circle with my Nestabilies, edged it with pale blue chalk ink, and then used some Christmas peg stamps around the edge to give it some definition. I completed the circle by dotting some glitter glue around on the edge design, and mounted it on a red Bazzill scalloped circle, also cut with Nestabilities. The background paper is from Basic Grey’s Wassail range; this is mounted onto red Bazzill card, and then onto the white card. I matted and layered the sentiment, which is also by Elzybells, and added it to the bottom of the card with a Prima poinsettia flower and leaf to finish.
