Just the two of us

Here is my card for the latest challenge on Cute Card Thursday. The theme is ‘The Two of Us’, and I thought the Hanglar & Stanglar couple was perfect to use for this challenge. This is also my first attempt at using my new Pro-Markers. I found the pens wonderful to use, but it does take some practice to master the blending effect. I don’t think I will totally abandon my beloved pencils for the markers, but they are an alternative if I should want a different effect, or just a change from Prismas.

Materials used:
Basic Grey Papers
Pro-Markers from Letraset
Quickutz Revolution die – Victorian Flourish
Cuttlebug
Nestabilities

Four Seasons ATCs

We have a very talented guest designer this week at Tilda and Friends.  Vanessa chose the ‘Four Seasons’ for her theme, which will continue for the next four weeks on the challenge blog. I will be adding my ATCs, depicting all four seasons, as I make them, during the next few weeks. Since we are not experiencing the best of summers, I decided to start my quartet with ‘Winter’! Tilda with her sledge is one of my most favourite Magnolia stamps; I just love her little snowsuit! I used a scrap of Dovecraft backing paper with winter trees for the background. The word ‘Winter’ was made up of individually stamped letters on a blue/green inked background, and then cut out. I inked the edges with a blue inkpad, and added a touch of glitter around each small square before sticking it to the ATC. Lastly, I added some Fluffy Stuff onto the trim of her suit, to give it the look of fur.

Come and visit us at Tilda and Friends, and take a look at Nessy’s inspirational ATCs and the gorgeous cards made by the DT. I hope you will be tempted to have a go at creating your own ‘Four Seasons’; we’d love to see your results.

A New Card!

I’m sorry I haven’t posted a card for a while, but sometimes life catches up on me and stamping has to take a backseat for a bit. Here is a new card that I made using one of Elizabeth Bell’s gorgeous designs, which are available from Funky Kits. I originally made the card for a challenge, which came and went before I finished it, unfortunately. The sentiment stamp is by Elzybells.  Hope you like it!

I used:
Sweet Ebony stamp
Basic Grey paper
Cuttlebug embossing Folder
DCWV cardstock
Elzybells sentiment stamp
Handmade crochet flower
Brads and gems from my stash
