The challenges on Cute Card Thursday and A Spoon Full of Sugar are both irresistible this week. The first is to make a card for a child, and the second is to make a card for a boy. My fab nephew, Harry, will be twelve next month, so I saw this as an excellent opportunity to make a birthday card for him, and combine the two themes.
I used the super cool Sk8r Boy stamp by Sugar Nellie as my image. He was coloured with Prisma pencils, with paper stumps and Sansodor to blend, then matted and layered onto DCWV cardstock in lime green and blue. I embossed a larger piece of the blue card with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and layered that onto matching backing paper, which was another magazine freebie. Brads were attached to the cardstock at the side, and then the edges were trimmed with decorative scissors. The text was printed on the computer. The scalloped circles were cut with Nestabilities, then layered to make the sentiment rosette.
